Just some thoughts after reading a great friend's blog post.
Indeed one of the foundations of our relationship with God is believing that Christ is God's Son.
"For if Christ is not God in the flesh, then we have no personal relationship with God. We will have had no salvation, for if He was not God, then we have merely another idol, a false god." A dangerous question to ask, that shows the misconceptions that an individual have, would then be, "Who's greater? The Father or the Son?".
For the people who were waiting for a Messiah to come, some of them were unable to accept that a man, could be God Himself. He was simply another wise prophet to them.
And of course, another famous question that created one of the most influential religion, "Who is bigger? Jesus? Or Jesus' mother?".
There's nothing wrong about asking questions. Being inquisitive is a good thing. But when we allow questions to shake our beliefs, we might just end up twisting the Truth in our human minds. Of course, the above questions is pretty obvious to those who know the Truth. But how about other questions?
Sometimes we just have to be Okay with not knowing the answer.I'm not suggesting passiveness.
One question someone in BS asked, "Who created God?" [his Belief: Everything has a creator and how it was formed] True, but God IS the Creator.
and so goes on to the next question, "So how did God become God?" -----
Answers anyone?
