When I am depressed. 9:57 pm

Once again I am seeing life through rose-colored glasses, living at the edge of a looking-glassworld where mundane objects come to life, where flora and fauna take on near-human qualities.

"To love means to open ourselves to the negative as well as the positive - to grief, sorrow, and disappointment as well as to joy, fulfillment, and an intensity of consciousness we did not know was possible before." -- Rollo May

12:24 am

I know what I want, I know what I have.
Now the only challenge is to stay focused and not be distracted by daydreams, not to settle for less-than-the-best for me, and not to be short-sighted, hence making wrong choices and therefore finding more problems for myself to settle.

I am a happy little lady I am. =)

Hamster Baby is so adorable!!! >_<
Yes i know...im forever talking about my hamsters.
Bear with it. They're my passion. =)
I just found out that Hamster Baby loves being scratched behind the ears. Each time i do that, he'll start dozing off to sleep. He's simply adorable...
And all my hamsters think it's feeding time now whenever i start to sing. I guess cos im always singing to them when i feed them. haha. so it triggers their memory related to foooooood.

This week has been awesome. =)

Dont let yourself stay in your unhappy younger days.
Dont let yourself stay in the times when you kept your heart to yourself.
Even if you dont know where to start or how to continue, be sincere in your heart.
Know what you truly want and say whatever that's on your mind and in your heart.
Although you may still be confused, it is better than living without love and emotions.
Because feelings makes you alive and living.

school reopens 9:27 pm

School reopened today! I dozed off during my first 2 lectures already. Really tired out man...I went to Serene's house to sleepover last night because it was too late after we celebrated Jing wei's birthday yesterday. Managed to sleep at around 4 am after chatting with Serene for a long time, and my lesson started at 10am. haha. Serene has the art of making me say things I never intended to share. I simply blurted things out, almost similar to thinking aloud unknowingly. Good grief...Oh wells, what's been said has been said. I trust she wont breathe a word about whatever i said last night.
I made a few new friends this holiday. haha. People like Serene, Ann, Wilson and Davin. Thank God for them, they brighten up my holidays. =)

Anyway, i've signed up for the Standard Chartered Marathon as a First Aider that's on 7th Dec.
And I'm signing up for my school's YEP trip to India that's from 30th March to 12th April '09 too.

chinese garden discovery 8:20 am

And so i woke up today at 6am to prepare my brother to go to school.
Then i decided to go running in the park opposite my house: The Jurong Lake Park.
And so i ran for 800m and reached the back entrance of the Chinese Garden.
I crossed the bridge over the waters and reached the lovely garden.
It's been a long time since i went there, since i was a little kid actually. Alot of reconstruction has been made. Plus, it's free to enter now.
And as i walked through the garden, it was as if i was in another world. Rock pavements, rock statues and boulders, bamboo forests, a serene lake, chinese pavilions on the lake, little birds chirping, jasmine trees and frangipanis, chinese characters carved on rocks, cute little rock tables and chairs everywhere, MOSQUITOES....etc. A perfect place for a wedding photo shoot.
And so i walked and walked deeper into the garden, singing songs and admiring nature...when i so happen to finally bring my head down to earth, a sight literally made my heart jump. 3 metres ahead, lazing upon the wooden pavement i was on was a 2 metres long Komodo dragon. I simply stood there and stared at the majestic creature. But i guess it sensed my presence, so it made it's way (almost painstakingly slow) towards the lake and disappeared. How nice.
Well, what a morning. I discovered a lovely place that was so near my house for relaxing, jogging and being away from the city and suburbs. A nice place for picnicing too.

Starring: Hamster Baby

I think something's wrong with Hamster Baby...he's been crawling very slowly on his tummy as if he has no strength...he's not injured, i checked him. His brother's been taking the chance to bite and bully him though...I'll observe somemore before i decide to seperate them.

Here's a footage of weak and loving Baby, and Lion bullying him.

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Acknowledging Pain 12:16 am

Though many of us would like to get to the corner of Forgiveness and Healing, we find it hard to admit that we are presently standing on the corner of Anger and Pain. Pride becomes a conspirational bedfellow, whispering, "Don't ever let them see you sweat."

There is no way to ignore pain, disappointment, or heart-breaks, though Shame tries to tell you otherwise. Shame says "You are foolish to feel what you feel." But there is nothing honorable about a cold, dead heart. The ability to love and to give love is a most gracious gift - a gift that some might not be in the position to receive. For this you cannot be blamed or earn the title of a fool. Nothing could be further from the truth: this is a lie that insults the heart of God, who is always found "guilty" of giving His love, even when we don't love Him back.
Yes, pain tells us things. Acknowledge it and listen.

Heartache tell us what is important to us and what we haven't surrendered yet. It tells us what we secretly pine for and openly desire. It exposes our expectations, even the ones we deny, whether they are right or misplaced.
