One trick of the devil. A very subtle approach. In which one slowly becomes disinterested about the word of God, about His work and His moving hand, about the glory and power of the King. Slowly, one becomes ignorant and blind, deaf, senseless, to the spiritual realm.
But nothing changes on the outside. One still goes to church, sings songs with enthusiasm, greet and have fun with the brothers and sisters in Christ, cares for others, teaches others, serve others, doing everything that any godly christian would do, and not doing anything that any immature ungodly christian would do. There is a longing, a yearning, for an answer or peace from above, that has been left disappointed for so long, hence ignored and set aside. And life goes on. Lifeless.

Every christian who is a christian will strive to live a godly life that is pleasing to God. But somewhere along the road, one might question him/herself if he/she is a bad person. Everyone has got light and darkness in them. The difference then lies with the side you're fighting for.

Some ways of God may seem unconventional to man. But obedience to God is far more highly valued by Him than conventional ways to live a godly life that is pleasing to God.

No, I did not contradict myself. One will think I am if they're only reading skin-deep. All these are thoughts in my head, pieced together with life's puzzles for the day, and finding more meaning to it than knowledge itself...
